The KLMJ and KQCR Community Calendar is a free service for all non profit groups, organizations, churches and schools, heard Monday- Friday at 10:30am.  If you have an event you would like posted on the Community Calendar please send it to: KLMJ/KQCR - P.O. Franklin County Public Health will be holding a walk-in blood pressure clinic Friday 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Franklin County Public Health Office in Hampton. 

Franklin County Public Health will be holding a foot clinic Friday 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ackley.  To schedule an appointment, call 456-58-20. 

Aplington Public Library will be holding Story Time Friday 10:00 a.m. for children ages three, four and five at the library in Aplington. 

The Ackley Gun Club will be holding a Wild Game Feed Friday 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the American Legion on Main Street in Ackley. 

Alcoholics Anonymous will meet Friday 8:00 p.m. at the Fireside in Iowa Falls.

The Franklin County Extension will be holding a 4-H Food Safety Quality Assurance (FSQA) class Saturday 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Hampton State Bank in Hampton. 

Senator Bill Dix will be holding a town hall meeting Saturday 10:00 a.m. at the Parkersburg Civic Center. 

The annual Wright County Winterfest will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Lake Cornelia, northeast of Clarion. 

The Franklin County Relay for Life, Team Radio Freq second annual Cribbage Tournament will be held Saturday, registration 11:30, pizza and pop buffet 12:00 to 1:00 and play will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Godfather’s Pizza in Hampton.   

500 Card Party at the Alexander Public Library will be held Saturday 1:00 p.m.  All singles and couples are welcome. 

A Legislative forum will be held in Clarion Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Rock Island Depot in Clarion and in Belmond Saturday 1:00 till 2:00 p.m. at the community room in City Hall in Belmond.  Attending will be State Representatives Stewart Iverson, Henry Rayhons, Dave Deyoe and State Senator Robert Bacon. 

Cerro Gordo County Conservation will be holding a “Winter Extravaganza” Saturday 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Lime Creek Nature Center in Mason City.  Pre-registration is required, call 423-5309 to register or for more information.

The second annual Discovery Preschool Chili Cook-off will be held Saturday, judging will be held at 11:30 a.m. and public is invited for tasting noon till 1:30 p.m. at the Wellsburg Memorial Building.  Prizes will be awarded at 1:45 pm.

The Goodell Fire Department will be serving their annual soup supper Saturday 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Goodell Community Hall. 

Narcotics Anonymous will meet Saturday 7:00 p.m. at the Fireside in Iowa Falls.

Wee-Ones Christian Pre-School in Hampton will be holding a pancake lunch fundraiser Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the gymnasium at the Church of the Living Word in Hampton.  Free will donations will be accepted. 

Relay for Life team Mission Possible will be holding a soup fundraiser Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Clarksville Amvet Building. 

The High School Youth Group from Bethany Lutheran Church will be serving a soup and sandwich meal Sunday 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls. 

The annual Friends of the Library Chocolate Fantasy at the Barlow Memorial Library will be held Sunday 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the library in Iowa Falls. 

Hampton-Dumont PROSPER Strengthening Families Program will be held Sunday 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hampton. 

The Franklin County 4-H Youth Council will meet Sunday 2:00 p.m. at the Franklin County Extension Office in Hampton. 

Bradford Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon will meet Sunday 7:00 p.m. at the Bradford Methodist Church.

The Empty Arms Support Group will meet Monday 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center. 

Belmond Veteran’s of Foreign Wars will be holding BINGO Monday 6:15 p.m. at the Veteran’s Center in Belmond.  Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. 

The Hampton Jaycees will meet Monday 7:00 p.m. at Godfather’s Pizza in Hampton. 

The Hampton-Dumont High School vocal department will present their annual Pops concert Monday 7:00 p.m. at the Church of the Living Word auditorium in Hampton.  Free will donations will be accepted.
