"Playing
for Change", a tractor ride created by country singer, Tom Wurth, and
Klemme gentleman, Dick Barkema, will travel across Iowa in June to raise
funds for the equipment needs of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
at Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines.
This tractor ride will kickoff Monday, June 17th, in
Onawa and finish Saturday, June 22nd, in Dubuque.
They are planning an event and overnight stay in Iowa Falls on June
19th.
KLMJ/KQCR
Radio is stepping forward to raise funds for this great cause by holding a
radio-thon Wednesday, June 12th.
On the 12th, we will air stories of families who have
been touched by Blank Children's Hospital.
These stories, submitted by our listeners, will be aired on KLMJ
and KQCR, as well as posted online at RadioOnTheGo.com.
KLMJ/KQCR will also have "then and now" pictures of the
children Blank Children's Hospital has helped.
